Warren Buffet hit the nail on the head when he said “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.”

A 24 hour news cycle reporting on the downward spiral of a once respected organisation that has suffered severe reputational damage, is not a pretty sight. It goes to the very trust worthiness and integrity of that organisation. In fact, I can recall the hysteria in 1995 when a number of people became sick and four-year-old Nikki Robinson died in Adelaide after eating smallgoods contaminated with E.coli bacteria. Not surprisingly the South Australian based smallgoods company, Garibaldi failed in the wake of the contamination.
